The first live action on ESPN arrives on the evening of Friday 20 September, as Stoke City battle Hull City in an EFL Championship match (21:00 LIVE on ESPN), and the English football continues on the afternoon of Saturday 21 September with Sunderland v Middlesbrough (13:30 LIVE on ESPN) and Portsmouth visiting Burnley (16:00 LIVE on ESPN).
Burnley manager Scott Parker is enjoying the process of his team evolving and learning to adapt to the demands of the Championship: "It’s very early stages in the process. The real test of people is during adversity – this is when you can improve. This will be good learning for us,” said the former Chelsea and West Ham United midfielder.

ESPN 2 is all about the National Football League this week, with the morning of Friday 20 September bringing a battle between the New York Jets and the New England Patriots (02:15 LIVE on ESPN 2).
Patriots coach Jerod Mayo wants to see his team improve their offence if they are to challenge for the title this season: "We still have some time to figure out what the best combination is. I would say those guys, pre-snap penalties aside, there were definitely times where that unit out there did a pretty good job for the quarterback, and also, especially in the run game.
"Anytime you average over five yards a carry, it’s a good day in the run game. Now, in saying that, I’m not sure what the exact combination looks like, but we got in at four o’clock this morning and still kind of cranking through the film, but we’ll have a group ready to go."
Sunday 22 September brings a busy evening from the NFL, with Game Day Live coverage (18:00 LIVE on ESPN 2), followed by a feature game between the Los Angeles Rams and the San Francisco 49ers (22:25 LIVE on ESPN 2).
The working week brings more NFL games on the morning of Monday 23 and Tuesday 24 September, with the Atlanta Falcons hosting the Kansas City Chiefs (02:20 LIVE on ESPN 2) and the Washington Commanders visiting the Cincinnati Bengals (02:15 LIVE on ESPN 2).Take things a step further with GOtv Stream, so you can never miss your favourite sports even when you’re on the go.
