The main event of this week's NBA action is the All-Star Game, which is set to take place at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana on Monday morning, 19 February.

What makes this event so special and unique is that the All-Star starters have been selected by the fans, current NBA players and the media.

Tyrese Hailburton will be one to watch as he is hailed as a hometown hero for the All-Star game. The Indiana Pacers guard was announced as a starter for the festivities and was part of the All-Stars last season bagging 18 points, adding three assists as a member of LeBron James’ team.

In January, Haliburton stated that while he was hoping for his second nod, he wasn't concerned about being named a starter or not.

"I always try to shoot for the stars, so of course being a starter is my goal, that would be a lot of fun for me. But that stuff takes care of itself," he said.

“Of course, I’d love to be an All-Star starter, but just to be in the game would be really awesome."

The Milwaukee Bucks and Memphis Grizzlies will square off at the FedExForum on Friday morning, 16 February, before the All-Star game takes centre stage.
